Eden's free Pathology Service - USE IT OR LOOSE IT

DO YOU KNOW.... that we have a FREE pathology service, right HERE in Eden?
It is convenient, f
ast and professional, but will be another service to close its doors unless patient numbers increase.Eden community Health Centre

With ANY hospital procedure, you MUST have your pathology done through the hospital system (i.e. the public pathology service). If this service closes in Eden, our only choice will be that WE MUST TRAVEL to BEGA.

When your GP hands you your pathology order, it is YOUR OWN CHOICE to take it to the paid service that's printed on the letterhead, or to take that order to the public facility for the very same procedures that will cost you NOTHING.

Pathology West, based at Westmead Hospital, Sydney which runs the services has advised nurse Sue Watson that her job was on the line unless she increases numbers through the door. Ms Watson told the Magnet that "the biggest challenge is simply letting more Eden locals know that the service exists." She says her client base began to fall when the privately-run Capital Pathology set up shop in Eden's medical clinics six years ago. "My numbers have dropped from 300 per month to 35 per month, over the past six years," Ms Watson said.

Please give pathology staff Sue a call on  6496 1436 for a chat about how their service may meet your requirements, or pop in to see her at the Eden Community Health Centre, located upstairs at the rear of Twofold Arcade. There is even an elevator to take us right to her door!

Please - HELP TO RETAIN EDEN'S SERVICES - all we have to do is use them

What is a Medicines List

The more medicines you take, the more difficult it can be to remember important information about them.

You can use a medicines list to record:

  • all the medicines you currently use including
  • prescription, non-prescription, over-the-counter, minerals, herbal and natural medicines
  • what each medicine is for
  • how much of each medicine to use
  • when and how to use each medicine.

Print your Medicines List

When folded, the Medicines List is small enough to fit in your wallet
so that you can carry it with you at all times.

Medicines List and smartphone app also available for download
