Bega Valley Shire Library


The Home Library Service is free service available to residents (initially within town limits), who are unable to visit the library due to age, illness or disability. To be eligible to receive resources through the home library service, endorsement is required from a medical professional to certify that you are housebound.
Items are delivered every 3 weeks by volunteer drivers.

Hazardous Waste


Merimbula Waste Management Facility on Red Hill Road at Tura Beach. It is open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and on Weekends between 7:30am-4:30pm.

It accepts the following problem wastes for free:

water-based and oil-based paints
used motor and cooking oils
lead-acid and hand-held batteries
gas cylinders and fire extinguishers
conventional tube and compact fluorescent lamps & smoke detectors.

Eden Police Station is not manned at all times. If unattended, your call will be diverted to Warilla. Inform Warilla of the situation and they will direct local police to you. If it is not an emergency and does not require police attendance, leave a message and local police will return your call.
