WIRRINGA BAIYA

ABORIGINAL WOMEN'S LEGAL CENTRE

Wirringa Baiya is a community based organisation managed by Aboriginal women for Aboriginal women living in NSW. Their focus is women and children  who are, or have been, victims of violence and offer free legal advise, information and referral.

They offer:

  • Free legal advice, 9am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-12.30pm Fri
  • Community legal education activities and workshops throughout NSW
  • Professional training to people in contact with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
  • Access to culturally appropriate resources
  • Lobbying for legal reform where needed.
