The Keeping Place offers a community based centre for cultural events, meetings and functions. It is also used for school visits to educate young persons about aboriginal culture and activities. Twofold Aboriginal Corporation's offices & Meals on Wheels Kitchen are located at the edge of the lake along with a basic camping ground, community housing and sheds for various activites conducted by Twofold Aboriginal Corporation. A local business - AJN Fresh Oysters - also operate their business and oyster farm at the Jigamy Farm property.
